CAMWorks is a 3D feature-based CAM system that optimises Computer Numerical Control (CNC) programming and machining. To achieve this level of complex hands-free programming, CAMWorks incorporates intelligent machining through automation.

Feature-based machining reduces programming time by as much as 90% compared to CAM software based on traditional profiles and chains. Strategies for multi-surface features can be stored and reused automatically for multiple rough and finishing operations.

This is an automatic nesting module designed to nest the layouts of SOLIDWORKS parts or assemblies. It is seamlessly integrated within SOLIDWORKS and allows nesting of flat or 3D sheet metal parts or assembly models. CAMWorks Nesting uses NestLib, one of the fastest and most featured automatic true-shape nesting library available in the industry.

The Company

NSP Engineering (Air Arms) make sporting air rifles that set the hunting standard; and competition rifles that win world championships. They are market leaders within the mid-range sector and sell throughout the world through over 35 resellers.

In 1983 neither the airguns themselves nor the industry that produced them could be called hi-tech, but NSP founder Bob Nicholls was determined that this would change with Air Arms leading the way.

The Challenge

Air Arms wanted to develop a new gun that would give them an edge over their competition. To do this they needed to design something really special.
